J&J Faces New Lawsuit Above Advertising and marketing Talc Baby Powder to Black Ladies

Johnson & Johnson is struggling with another lawsuit above its talc child powder. 

The Countrywide Council of Negro Ladies filed a lawsuit Tuesday from the business, alleging it “deceptively marketed” the merchandise to Black females even though knowing its hyperlinks to ovarian cancer, the team said.

The lawsuit claims that Johnson & Johnson’s newborn powder was aggressively marketed to Black women of all ages as a solution that would “manage freshness and cleanliness.” But, the team states, inside files from a analyze carried out in 1968 advise that the powder contained talc which may have been contaminated with asbestos and that the firm knew there was a “carcinogenic character of talc and the outcomes of talc use.”
